On Friday 29th of October, well-known travel producers Lonely Planet shared its 2022 'Best in Travel'' List featuring the best countries to visit in the upcoming year. Of all the exclusive destinations listed, Mauritius was ranked third in the top 10 countries to visit!
Giving expert travel advice since 1973, Lonely Planet helped visitors around the world to find the best destinations to visit each year by proceeding with a thorough evaluation. A ''Best in Travel'' list is then issued by a panel of 10 travel experts, including the most trustworthy and welcoming destinations in order to ensure unique travel experiences. Even though the beauty of a destination plays a big role in its attractiveness, many other factors are taken into consideration by travel professionals.
For this upcoming year, Lonely Planet picked the top 10 countries to visit by observing their readiness and their 'wow' factor given to travellers. In 2022, the rankings were based on much more than breath-taking destinations. In fact, due to ongoing travel restrictions, these must-visit countries have to show a strong commitment to sustainable tourism practices to demonstrate their contribution. The aim is to show the positive impact of travellers on mindful travels while educating readers on the matter.
